About
Jenny Ebdy is an established art practitioner and facilitator based in the north of Scotland. Her primary focus is ceramic sculpture, a passion she has cultivated since her school days.
Jenny's lifelong fascination with the sculptural and textural potential of clay saw her become the president of a popular pottery society during her university years. Following her studies, she trained and worked for many years as a theatre designer. This role deeply informed her sculptural practice, as she approached sets as large-scale, three-dimensional solutions to the problems presented by the content and characters of a play, opera, or ballet.

After moving back to Scotland over twenty years ago, Jenny developed a commitment to community arts engagement, leading her to design and run projects and activities for charities and hospitals, providing opportunities to those who are often excluded and bringing arts education to the wider public.
In 2010 she returned to her first love of ceramics. She works through the creation of different collections, which are based around a particular idea which she wants to explore further. She uses her skills and knowledge in graphics, sculpture, and texture to develop these collections.
